Who Are You Running For at the One One?

On January 1 at 1:00 pm, join hundreds of greater Kalamazoo residents in a loop around Spring Valley Park in support of the Clubs. The new year is beginning; don’t miss an opportunity to start yours on the right foot.

Maybe you’ll run to reignite your commitment to health in 2017. Maybe you’ll run to spend the first day of the new year with friends or family engaged in a positive activity. Maybe you’ll run to support the great work the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kalamazoo are doing in our community to give our youth a safe, supportive and empowering environment. Whether you’re running for yourself, those close to you or your community, one thing is certain: you’re kicking off your new year in a good way.

The One One Run has been an exciting annual event for more than 30 years. The event is run by a wonderful partner in Gazelle Sports, and with proceeds going to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kalamazoo, it’s an important part of the funding the Clubs need for great youth programming throughout the year.

The paved trail around Spring Valley Park is 2.2 miles. Walkers and runners can go around one or two times. This non-competitive race begins at 1:00 pm for runners, and 1:15 for walkers and those with strollers. For more information, click the link on Clubs’ website at bgckalamazoo.com.
