Please Donate to Boys & Girls Clubs
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kalamazoo are dedicated to providing the youth in our community with positive programs and guidance. In order to continue programming at the level that youth need and deserve, the Boys & Girls Clubs must rely on the generosity of our community. The donation of resources – human, financial, and program – are essential to the continued successful operation of our organization.
Approximately 35% of our organization’s operating budget derives from the generosity of the Greater Kalamazoo United Way. The remaining half of the budget is dependent on revenue generated from grant funds, donations, and fundraisers.
Monetary donations of any amount are greatly welcomed and appreciated. Monetary donations can be made to the Boys & Girls Club general operating fund or to a specific program area. If you wish to give to a program area, please specify your desired use when making the donation. If you are interested in making a monetary donation, please contact Greta M. Faworski, Director of Administration and Development, at 269-349-4485 x109, or you may use the form below.
Planned giving is a process that uses tax and financial planning methods to allow a donor to achieve both financial and philanthropic objectives. Listed below are some of the ways that charitable giving might fit into your financial planning.
Charitable Bequests/Wills | Bequests can be made in the form of a cash gift, property, or in a charitable trust.
Charitable Remainder Trust | You can use this type of trust to make a deferred charitable gift, reserving lifetime income payments for yourself or a designated individual. Because the trust qualifies for significant tax benefits, your spendable, after-tax income may actually increase.
Gift Annuity | A Gift Annuity is an agreement between you and Boys & Girls Clubs under which you give a specific sum of cash, securities, or other property and, in return, are guaranteed a fixed annual income for life. The transfer is part gift and part purchase of an annuity.
Life Insurance Policies | A charitable organization, such as the Boys & Girls Clubs, can be named as a beneficiary.
Current Gift of Appreciated Stock or Real Estate
Please contact Greta M. Faworski, Director of Administration and Development, at 269-349-4485 x109 if you are interested in receiving more information about planned giving.
